VISION & STORY

Named after the happy hormone, Serotonin is a beverage shop bringing health and wellness to the Lower East Side community in New York City.  Their smoothie offerings are unique and flavorful, carefully crafted with delicious and essential vitamins and nutrients.

Serotonin founder and owner, Sarah Romeu is a lifelong wellness enthusiast with a love for delicious food and a passion for bringing her vision to New York’s Lower East Side.  Sarah’s mission goes beyond just serving delicious drinks, with the intention to foster a sense of connection and well-being within her community.

THE BRIEF
As Sarah began construction on Serotonin’s physical space, I worked closely alongside her to build a brand identity, including logos, color palettes and more

THE SOLUTION
Inspired by Serotonin’s menu, which boasts a diverse selection of fruit forward flavors, I created a brand identity which features a colorful and fun aestheic, highlighting the shop’s fresh ingredients and flavors. Additionally, I integrated a modern, fun and elegant font that stands out in the busy streets of NYC

THE DELIVERABLES
Primary Logo, Logo Variations, Color and Typography Exploration, Menu Design, Apparel Design, Packaging

This alternate logo mark is inspired by the brownstones and apartment buildings in the surrounding area of the Lower East Side (LES). I realized since there was 9 letters in Serotonin I was able to make it symmetrical and create a building so I created a the “brownstone and made the stairs a smoothie to represent the brand.
